Gerald Seymour at Chepstow Library

Gerald SeymourChepstow residents had the pleasure of hearing renowned author, journalist and former broadcaster Gerald Seymour being interviewed at Chepstow Library on Thursday evening. The event was organised by Chepstow Bookshop and Gerald was interviewed by owner Matt Taylor.

The audience also took full advantage when invited to ask questions. Gerald gave fascinating insights and anecdotes into his former career at ITN and how he, on a whim, decided to write a book when between assignments. He is now a world famous author of 30 books with 6 adaptations for films and TV to his credit.

Gerald Seymour’s new book is entitled ‘The Corporal’s Wife’. Set in Iran it is an epic nail-biting story of courage and betrayal, a glimpse into a closed society and the way the secret services operate on both sides of the line between politics and morality. The book is available from Monmouthshire Libraries.
