Stewart Henderson

Stewart Henderson

Stewart Henderson poet, songwriter and broadcaster will be performing his work in his own wry and witty fashion at Abergavenny Library on 13 March at 7 pm.

A regular on BBC4, Stewart presented the Questions programme for eight years. His songwriting partnership with Welsh singer Martyn Joseph has led to tours of the USA and Canada where his poetry for adults has received rave revues. He is a perennial favourite at the Greenbelt Festival and at literary events such as The Edinburgh Book Festival, Birmingham’s Young Readers UK, The Northern Children’s Book Festival and The Wigtown Book Festival.

The Sunday Times described his children’s poetry as ‘essential reading’. Widely anthologised through Macmillan, Oxford University Press, Scholastic, Bloomsbury and others, Stewart’s verse is set for both GCSE and Key Stage 2 and 3 in primary schools in the UK.

For further details and to book free tickets for this event please telephone Abergavenny Library 01873 735980 or email abergavennylibrary@monmouthshire.gov.uk
